Pipe melt pumps are high-temperature, high-viscosity polymer melt conveying and pressurization equipment specifically designed for pipe extrusion production lines, serving as a critical component in plastic pipe processing and production.
Core Functions
Stable Flow: Eliminates feeding errors and fluctuations in upstream processes during extrusion, ensuring more uniform melt flow. This guarantees consistent pipe wall thickness, minimizes dimensional tolerances, and reduces scrap rates.
Pressurization and Pressure Stabilization: The pump pressurizes and stabilizes the high-temperature melt from the extruder before feeding it into the die, overcoming pipeline resistance to ensure stable pressure during the extrusion process and enhance the reliability of pipe quality.
Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement: By transferring the extruder’s pressure-reduction function to the melt pump, the extruder can operate at lower pressure and temperature. This reduces energy consumption per unit of material by approximately 25%, while increasing output and extending the extruder’s service life.
