Thermoplastic Extruder Melt Pump – Precision Metering for Polymer Extrusion
A thermoplastic extruder melt pump, also called melt gear pump, is a critical positive-displacement auxiliary unit installed between the extruder barrel and die head on thermoplastic extrusion lines. Designed for high-temperature, high-viscosity polymer melt, it takes over melt metering and pressure building tasks, decoupling plasticization and pressurization functions of the main extruder screw to deliver steady melt flow toward the mould.
