The function of adding melt pump in extrusion line

　　The main function of the melt pump is to pressurize the high temperature plastic melt from the extruder and feed the flow into the extruder head stably after stabilizing the pressure. The ability of stabilizing melt pressure and flow rate is better than all kinds of extruders. When it is used in series with single screw or co rotating twin screw extruder, the benefit of the whole production line is increased significantly. The main benefits of using melt pumps are:

　　1. Reduce the dimensional tolerance of extruded products to the minimum, so that more products can be produced from materials of unit weight. It is more necessary and valuable to use melt pump when the dimensional tolerance of extruded products is strict or the raw material cost of products is more expensive.

　　2. The mixing and extrusion granulation production line is composed of co rotating twin-screw extruder and melt pump. Its mixing quality and output are much higher than that of single twin-screw granulation unit. Generally, the energy consumption per kilogram of materials can be reduced by about 25%.
